With over 20 years of experience in the entertainment industry, Cassidy has been developing, producing and now directing successful independent films and series. Cassidy opened Red Clay Studios, a production company and sound stage facility in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 2021. Cassidy produced her first film that sold to Paramount Vantage in 2006 and has since produced over 35 films. From 2009-2011 she was the creative/production executive for Capitol Films overseeing development and production for films in the range of 5 to 50 million dollars. From 2015-2020 Lunnen joined Astronauts Wanted, a joint venture of Sony Television and Judy McGrath, as senior vice president of development and production.
Currently, The limited series "A Thousand Tomorrows," Lunnen's directorial debut based on the bestselling novel by Karen Kingsbury, made its Netflix debut September 1, 2025, and immediately resonated with audiences worldwide, spending its first week in the Netflix Top 10 where it peaked at number five. The series previously sustained the highest viewership on the Pure-Flix platform for 5 consecutive months.
